Auditorio Nacional, located in Chapultepec Park, is home to several of Mexico City's major cultural institutions and presents a wide variety of popular entertainment.

The original auditorium, built in the late 1940's, was a large, curved, poured- concrete structure with exposed structural clamps. Later, in cooperation with one of Mexico's leading architectural firms, FDA, it was renovated and reconfigured to be a more contemporary and intimate venue for a wide range of performances.

The outdated stage and lighting equipment was replaced with state- of- the- art systems and the seating capacity was reduced from 13,000 to 10,000.

It is a modern building, housing different shows ranging from music concerts, performances, theater, and political assemblies.

It also hosts ice rink activities such as ‘Holiday on Ice', performing a theatrical ice rink play of ‘Monsters Inc.' of Pixar and Disney.
