This famous orchestra produces divine music which reaches deep into your heart and soul. Annually the season of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico City begins at the Ollín Yoliztli Cultural Centre.
The Philharmonic's season is divided into four programs and lasts all year with the exception of the first two weeks in April and the last two in December. General admission is MXN80. Children under 8 are not allowed.
A 50 percent discount is offered for government employees, students, teachers, elder's pensioned, retired and handicapped persons who want to witness the show.
Three skillful pieces of world- wide repertoire of Beethoven, Strauss and Shostakovich, will be played by the Filarmónica Orchestra of the City of Mexico under the direction of teacher Carlos Dark Miguel, asóciate musical director of this group, in the Palace of Beautiful Arts, within the framework of XVII the Festival of the Historical Centre of the City of Mexico.
