This restaurant opened its doors for the first time on 13 of September. It was founded by Mrs. Alicia Torres Araujo, a cultured and enterprising woman. The greater part of her life was dedicated to rescue the artistic and cultural traditions, values and works of her country.

Few restaurants can count on the legacy and prestige enjoyed by Fonda Santa Clara's. With Puebla gastronomic specialties, this place is reminiscent of colonial times with its architecture, music and atmosphere reflecting that era. A combination of pre- Hispanic traditional cuisine (maguey worms, ant eggs) and regional dishes that require sophisticated preparation (Chiles with Nut Sauce, Mole Poblano) are on the menu. It is, without a doubt, a delight to all the five senses.

This place provides comfort, hygiene and atmosphere that lures in tourist. The Name Santa Clara today has passed over borders for good food and service that they offer.
