Papalote Museo del Niño

This interactive museum opened in 1993 was built especially for children, and devoted itself to teaching them heaps of stuff in a fun way. Different chambers teaching you everything from electricity to music to color to forces of nature and an IMAX theater featuring interesting and educational movies constitute Papalote Museo del Niño.

The Building of the Pyramids holds most of the more than 350 exhibits, while two films alternate (10 shows daily) in the IMAX building. It is divided into five major sections dedicated to discovering the Human Body, Communications, World, Expressions and Con- Ciencia (a play on double meanings: "Con- science" to also mean With- science).

Workshops, a theatre, restaurant and a gift shop are also open to the public. Thursday nights are dedicated to adults only without their kids and its open till 11 pm.
